FAQs

EV charging rebates are incentives that help offset the cost of installing EV charging equipment at multifamily properties. Colorado Energy Office’s Charge Ahead Colorado program provides properties in the state of Colorado with funding for EVSE installation.

Properties may receive up to $1,250 per outlet (capped at 80% of costs), and $5,000 per EVSE (capped at 90% of costs). Properties that are eligible for the enhanced incentive may receive up to $1,750 per outlet and $7,000 per EVSE. A project may receive funding for a maximum of 6 EVSE or 24 outlets. Applies to Charge Ahead Colorado rolling application details, increased funding amounts are available three times per year.

An EV outlet is a dedicated Level 1 or Level 2 charging outlet assigned to a resident's parking space, ideal for overnight charging at multifamily properties. An EVSE is a hardwired Level 2 unit better suited for shared or guest parking. Most multifamily properties benefit from a mix of both.

Orange has committed over 10,000 chargers across multifamily properties nationwide. We assist you throughout the entire application process, from an eligibility check to the incentive application, and recommend the right charging mix for your property and portfolio.
