EV charging rebates are incentives that help offset the cost of purchasing and installing EV charging equipment at multifamily properties. Consumers Energy’s EV Charging rebates provide properties served by the utility with funding to assist with EV charging costs.
Multifamily properties with 4 or more units may receive up to $3,000 per 40A EVSE ($6,000 for two 40A EVSE installed on an 80A circuit, $3,000 per additional 40A EVSE). A minimum of two ports must be installed to qualify. There is no rebate cap per site. Properties must be serviced by Consumers Energy.
An EVSE is a hardwired, high-power Level 2 charging unit. Most multifamily properties benefit from a mix of both EVSE and smart outlets.
Orange has committed over 10,000 chargers across multifamily properties nationwide. We assist you throughout the entire application process, from an eligibility check to the incentive application, and recommend the right charging mix for your property and portfolio.
